Local

We are a community of believers that love the Lord; our number one desire is to be a place where the Lord wants to dwell, a place that prioritizes His presence and gives Him room to move.

The Mission Fellowship is situated in the centre of Nelson, a vibrant and creative city at the top of the South Island of New Zealand surrounded by a stunning natural environment of mountains, rivers, beaches, and national parks. We are an independent church and we are relationally connected with churches of other denominations and movements in our city and nation.

Home groups

Mid-week home groups are an essential aspect of our fellowship and is where effective pastoral care takes place. It is in home groups that real relationship is forged and developed. Here, you have an opportunity to not only ‘attend’ church – but to become part of the living, breathing, functioning body of Christ.

Multiple home groups are currently running at 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday in different locations throughout Nelson. If you’re keen to take part please make contact with the church leadership or email info@themission.org.nz

      Church Life

As part of the Mission Fellowship you will find that normal church life consists of the following:

      Worship

The Lord is worthy of all our worship. We desire above all else to be a fellowship who worship and honour God with all that is in us; worship is a major focus of our Sunday meetings.

      Warfare

Over many years the Lord has given us strategies and keys to battle powers and strongholds over churches, cities and nations. We hold weekly prayer meetings for the city, nation and nations.

      Healing

1 Peter 2:24 says "By His wounds you have been healed", therefore our goal is to walk in divine health and equip every Christian to pray for the sick (Mark 16:16-18). Prayer for healing is an integral part of our meetings.

      Deliverance

The casting out of demonic spirits was a major part of the ministry of Jesus, then the disciples and then the early Church. We believe it is a part of the job description for every believer in the church today (Mark 16:17).

      Mission

Teams are regularly sent out to Zimbabwe, India and Fiji for short-term missions.

      Prayer

We take seriously our responsibilities in prayer to provide cover for each other, the church in Nelson, the community, the government, the nation and nations as we endeavour to fulfill God's call to be a 'house of prayer'.
